Physiotherapy

Susan Innes, MCSP, MSc, MMACP

Sue Innes qualified as a physiotherapist in the early 1990's and initially worked in London teaching hospitals in the NHS where she progressed through the clinical ranks. She also became involved with the world of dance medicine and was employed in a pre-performance physio service for Riverdance and a screening service for the Urdang Academy. Sue has become increasingly involved in teaching clinicians and is currently employed at The University of Essex where she is also finishing her doctorate. She has always enjoyed treating patients and has worked in a private practice in Chelmsford for 12 years until April 2015.

Sue has danced as a pupil of the Weston School from the age of 4 and still regularly attends the adult ballet class.  She is a parent of school age children and is very keen to ensure that children and teenagers are at ease if they need some help with their joints and muscles.  With her combined knowledge of dance and professional skills, Sue is ideally placed to offer help and advice to dance students.
