Classes for the Young
Almost fifty students of the Weston School of Dance & Performing Arts took part in An Evening with the Stars of Strictly Come Dancing.
The School aims to cater for everyone. Children are accepted from the age of three years, and we provide classes for all ages, including adults. Children can train in ballet, modern theatre dance, tap and (when they are a little older) jazz, musical theatre and street dance.
The School holds classes in many venues in Chelmsford, as well as Great Dunmow, throughout the week. Full details are available including maps showing the location of the venues.
Check the current week, or any day you wish, for classes, office-opening etc
We strongly advise that uniform is not purchased until it is confirmed that the student has settled.
Children entering the School in the Under 5's Class only need to wear something easy to move in.
Exams are held three times a year (twice when we have a School show). The results are published here as soon as they become available - Easter 2016 available now!
Temporary Class Changes
At various times during a term it may be necessary to make temporary changes to classes, whether due to availability of halls, staff or problems as a result of weather.
We are very proud of the success achieved each year by both students and teachers. Not only do many students achieve excellent results in the many exam sessions but many achieve success elsewhere.
For the second year, a group of dancers from the School took part in this national multi-centre simultaneous attempt on a World Record whilst raising money for BBC Children in Need.
